Background of the French Revolution.
Before 1789, when the French Revolution began, not many countries had much knowledge about the modernization of human rights. The countries that focused on equal rights of the people that lived in their counties were Great Britain and the United States. These countries were manly focused on giving everyone equal rights to govern and the freedom to express themselves. Most importantly, these countries made it easier for the middle class to move to the upper class, and the lower class to move to the middle class. It caused everyone to become less segregated and it gave people that were born into the lower or middle class families the opportunity to work hard and create themselves a life much different from the on that they were born into. After seeing the new life of the people in Great Britain and the United States, the people of France sought to have a life and country like theirs.
Cause of the French Revolution.
Many believed that the French Revolution was caused by the inequalities in France. During this time there was a more drastic difference between the higher and the lower class people. The common people and the lowers class were treated unfair and lacked many of the powers that the nobles and the clergy were given. This caused many people to become angered with how France was being ruled, and also have hatred towards the nobles and the clergy. The discontent with the higher class made it hard for the Third Estate (middle class) to rise up to become part of the First or even the Second Estate (upper class). In result of the middle classʼ lack of freedom and power, they were forced to pay heavy taxes that the upper class did not have to pay. They worked hard for their money and thought it was wrongful for making the less fortunate have to pay while the people with more money did not have to pay anything. Having said, the common people being treated unfair lead to much aggression in France.
Another cause that could have took somewhat of a roll in the start of the French Revolution was Louis XIV, the king. In 1789 he caused the country of France to go bankrupt. Many of the ministers tried to propose finical reforms that could help the country get back on track; he continuously dismissed the ideas that were brought to him that would have helped out France tremendously. As a king of the country, he spent way to much money and would not cut down on his expenses. In conclusion, with no money for the country, it left France and the people living there in quite a predicament. Resulting in the king making poor decisions that effected their country greatly, many of the people in France were inspired to act and go against the king, leading to more aggression then there should be.

Effects of the French Revolution.
Many people agreed that they thought the French Revolution by far had an extraordinary modern world influence on the French. During this period of time, Feudalism was abolished, the upper class lost there privileges that that the middle and lower class did not have, the national assembly was legitimized, they forced the king to sing a constitution stating that from now on France was constitutional monarchy, they now had a new paper currency that the government introduced, there were two main parties in france called the Royalist Democrats and the National Party, there was an increase in political groups in france, Legislation was enacted and they made it so that the lower class did not have to pa anymore on taxes then the upper class did. In addition, the king of France, Louis XIV, was capture and the beheaded, along with Queen Marie. The loss of these people helped France overcome the monarchy that was once lead my the King Louis XIV. Without him there, there was not much that would hold the people of France back any longer.
